6:00am - We made it. 24 hours.

We made it through. A combination of titles like Call of Duty 5, Gears of War 2, and a mix of arcade titles were enough to soak up the day.

I don't think I am alone in thinking... wow... we are getting to old for this. I wonder how broken we will be this week.

Given that none of us get nearly as much gaming in as we would like to these days, this was a fun little celebration of gaming. The surprising part is that, even though we are tired... and happy to be stopping at this point, there is only sanity that prevents us from putting in Fallout 3 and tackling a few more mutants.

So this Xbox Marathon comes to an end. Just as fun as those that have come before it. Maybe we'll do it again sometime.

Hour #24 - 5:00am

Here it is... 5am... the start of the LAST hour of game play... 24 hours of Xbox. It is only fitting that we head back to Death Tanks and finish it up with some hard hitting, tank exploding action!

Hour #23 - 4:00am

More Cod5... I think it is safe to say that we all caught a bit of a second wind. I find myself wondering if I will be able to use my wrists in the morning.

We played some pretty solid maps on CoD5. Our favorites are anytime tanks are involved. We always manage to take control of most of the tanks and control them for the majority of the round, making for great fun!

Hour #22 - 3:00am

Round and round we go... Cod5 Multiplayer... good times. Nothing more to say. Hands hurt.

We actually were an hour late on this entry as we are just pushing it through to the end.

Hour #21 - 2:00am

It was an hour of awesome Death Tank action... feeling a bit worn out on that right now... So we rallied back into CoD5 multiplayer.

We are all starting to feel the sleepiness dragging at us... right now it is just a whisper... but it is growing. We will be switching the beverage intake into high gear to combat that... force the tired OUT!

It would help if I wasn't feeling sick... I had a cough going in, but now it is developing into a full blown cold! A few more hours it it could be pretty brutal. So is the life of a marathon gamer!

Hour #20 - 1:00am

The agreement tonight is that Death Tanks is better than Rock Band. :) (okay maybe not really).

We managed to jack up the AI difficulty to Hard and with three of us vs three robot tanks, we managed to take them down in a 10 round explosion fest. Really fun stuff.

Given all the fun we are having with Death Tanks... it is safe to call it the sleeper hit of the marathon.

Hour #19 - 12:00am

And Saturday turns into Sunday. We completed co-op mode on Call of Duty World at War. The ending was a bit anti-climatic in a way. The pacific theater was over before we knew it... the German ending was pretty solid though. some good levels in that one.

We then jumped into some Cod5 multiplayer to see what was what. Lots of similar Cod4 flavor with a WWII spin. We were having a ton of fun with it, doing pretty good despite our n00b rankings... when the router got a bit funky and started dropping us from matches.

So... back to death tanks. :)

Hour #18 - 11:00pm

Mmmmmore Call of Duty World at War. For some reason I keep leading the scores on each level. I think it is my head-shot madness.

As we go along, no one else is really reading these. Russell says he will enjoy the hourly exploits.

We keep trying to take action shots... but let's all be honest... playing video games doesn't really make for action pictures... more a bunch of pasty dudes sitting around in gaming shirts staring blankly into a screen.

Hour #17 - 10:00pm

More Call of Duty World at War... people are working on their Frequent Fryer achievements with the flame throwers.

I would be lying if I didn't say that I was getting a bit watery eyed. I am sitting pretty close to this computer monitor... I think I am forgetting to blink!

The verdict is that these Call of Duty games have great single player campaigns.

Hour #16 - 9:00pm

Ok... enough of Castle Crashers... we got to some river level and it was pretty lame... so back to Call of Duty World at War... just played through a pretty rad tank level.
