Xbox Party Submission: Rivithed

Rivethed from Gamingbits.com sent us this submission for our Xbox party contest:

"Our party was tied to Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays, with Pac-Man. We had XBLA games going, such as Pac-Man, Frogger and Galaga. The highest scorer in Pac-Man (named Jay) won an official Pac-Man shirt from Namco. The lowest scorer (L.C.) won Namco's Blue Ghost shirt (saying "BITE ME"). We had 80's music going on too and some classic Simon games. Everyone was stuffed with all the Papa John's PIzza around (and some Cuban "bocaditos"), with some homemade Pac-Man cookies to round it off. There were some moments stolen from Dead Rising too. We also unearthed an old Atari 2600, and hooked it up to a Sharp HDTV LCD. Surprisingly it still worked. It was a fun night, running from 10pm-6am!"

They definitely gain points for pac-man themed food, but I am not so sure on the  Corey Hart poster. You can check out all the pictures of the event here.  But here is one of my favorites

Xbox Party Submission: supeRat

supeRat had an Xbox 360 party and sent his submission to us, sounds like a good time. From the man himself:

"On a beautiful Saturday (the kind of day you just want to spend every waking moment outside) the 360 came calling to us. With some salt roasted peanuts & a round of adult cocktails we were ready to begin the festivities. We started around 3 in the afternoon, the way Xbox would have wanted, by paying homage to the Xbox Live Arcade and the 80’s. With some passing off of the controller we played Pac-man wile listening to bands like Blondie, Men Without Hats & Culture Club. After which we were warmed up and ready for the serious gaming to begin, so we threw in Call of Duty 2. Playing death match for four hours can really get the testosterone flowing, so we decided to take an intermission and get some food. We ordered three large pies from the pizzeria down the road; one was plain, one chicken supreme and the other loaded with all the goodies. We broke out the beer & chips and the feast began."

So supeRat tells us there was more eating, drinking and gaming with PDZ with lots of bots, Full auto Head-to-Head and a little of their old favorite Battlefront 2.  Sounds like a party guys!  He leaves us with this thought.

"Then as my 360 might blog….it was 4:30am the gaming was over and I was sad. Despite our beliefs even with a reason to party our wives & girlfriends were still mad at our tardy departures. So after 13 and a half hours of gaming, Three cases of beer Two Bottles of Vodka and almost a carton of cigarettes between us, what did I learn? That your significant other always finds a reason to be mad at you. So enjoy the moment and remember it so you can flash back to it wile your being lectured."

Thanks for the entry supeRat!  We also found out he enjoys playing Kameo with his one year old Son Zander and his seven year old Daughter Elissa.  Way to get them hooked early, I guess it's never to early to start building your gamerscore.

Gamertag Radio Party

I know you are all big Xbox fans, and listen to Gamertag Radio regularly, so you already know they had an Xbox Live Arcade party last month. Sounds like they had a good time with almost 50 people attending in total.

"GTR community celebrated the podcast awards nomination by having a nice Xbox Live Arcade party. We had many people from the Hip Hop & gaming community into one place. Playing UNO, Geo Wars, Zuma and more. Later that night we had the chance to play other 360 games such as Fight Night, Fifa, NBA Live, Prey & taking it back with Halo 2."

They have lots of coverage of the event, in pictures, audio, and even movies!  It's just like being there, but not as fun and you don't get to play all the games.  But you can get some ideas for you own party, and then you can have even more fun and play games.
